This course was developed to address an increase in hospital-acquired conditions (HACs) among patients cared for by newly hired CNAs at a simulated skilled nursing facility. It provides foundational infection control training to reduce HACs and prepare CNAs for hands-on practice with guideness and feedback from nurse supervisors.
This course was designed and developed as part of the onboarding process for newly hired CNAs and as a refresher for currently employed CNAs. The design document outlines the course goal, target audience, content structure, interactions, knowledge checks, and performance-based assessments, with an estimated completion time of 15 minutes.
